Havok and Lorna make their way to the Savage Land, guided by Professor X, to rescue the missing X-Men, and are offered help by Ka-Zar and his pet Zabu. Angel wakes up injured, and surrounded by local people from the Savage Land with no idea of exactly what happened to him, eventually meeting a beautiful fellow winged creature. Cyclops and Beast escape from captivity, whereas Marvel Girl is still trapped in the citadel. Using her telekinetic powers, she manages to open the door to her cell and do some exploring, attempting to telepathically scan her whereabouts. However, in the process of doing so, she is confronted by Magneto, who defeats her.
